THE 9TH DUHOK IFF OPENING FILM

As the festival is rapidly approaching, we are thrilled to announce this year’s opening film,

RAIN BRIDE, directed by Hussein Hassan. Duhok IFF is proud to host the film’s world premiere at the festival opening on the 1st of December at the Conference Hall. 

RAIN BRIDE, which was shot in Duhok city and its surroundings, displays the story of Lori, who in her strife to pursue her dream of becoming a professional dancer, realizes that she cannot escape the responsibility she has as a mother and wife as well as society’s suppressing expectations and norms.
