SPECIAL GUESTS TO ATTEND DUHOK IFF 2022

We are excited to announce that this year’s festival will be hosting two special guests. The world-famous Golden Bear Winner director Fatih Akin will this year come to Duhok and attend the festival. Along he will bring the successful German-Kurdish rapper and music producer, Xatar, about whom Fatih Akin made his last film, RHEINGOLD, about. RHEINGOLD was released in October this year and is a gangster drama based on an autobiographical book by Xatar himself. We are honored to be screening this brand-new film during the festival with the attendance of both Fatih Akin and Xatar.
