Mohanad Hayal: Member of International Feature Film Competition

We welcome director Mohanad Hayal as a member of the International Feature Film Competition. The renowned iraqi director will also be part of the World Vision program. Hayal’s first feature film Haifa Street(2019) won the Best Film Award at the Busan International Film Festival, as well as the best film and actor awards at the Cairo International Film Festival. Hayal has worked as an independent film producer in Iraq for over 10 years and, along with other Iraqi filmmakers, founded the Iraqi Independent Film Center. He also held the position of Cinema Department Director at the Iraqi ministry of culture.
