Kurdish singer Mezher Xaliqi attending 8th DuhokIFF

The kurdish artist and singer Mezher Xaliqi will attend the eighth edition of Duhok International Film Festival.
We are pleased to announce that the famous Kurdish musician and artist Mazhari Khaliqi will attend the Duhok International Film Festival. Of course the participation of artists like the Xaliqi will give another situation to the festival and surely will be important, as he has served the Kurdish culture with his music and songs.
Xaliqi was born in 1938 in the eastern Kurdish city of Sanandaj where he received a master’s degree in industrial administration from the University of Tehran. He lived in London from 1986 to 2002 and now he is based in Sulaymaniyah. He owns many famous songs, many of which are emotional and national songs, and has many fans from all over Kurdistan.
