2000 Refugees from Syria to participate for free at the Duhok IFF

The civil war in Syria forced tens of thousands of Kurdish people to leave their homes, of whom many fled to the Kurdistan Regional Government and found refuge in the Domiz Camp. Now through a cooperation between the UNHCR and the Duhok IFF 2000 Kurdish refugees from all ages are given the opportunity to participate at selected film screenings of the festival for free. This cooperation was initiated by Protection Officer Erdogan Kalkan and Mehmet Aktas, the festival's Artistic Director.
