Chloe is a young Canadian doctor who works in a West Bank clinic, monitoring the high-risk pregnancies of young Palestinian patients. Between checkpoints and stray bullets, Chloe learns about war and those who bear its burden. Torn between the two sides of the conflict, Chloe tries as best she can to build bridges, until the conflict draws her into its cycle of violence and she internalizes the conflict.

Director’s Biography 

Barbeau-Lavalette has directed several documentaries and won many prestigious awards for her films. She represented Canada at the Odyssée du Volontatriat in 2002, and her first feature filmThe Ring was selected for the Pusan FF and the Berlinale.
